Country, industry and hazards on one map

Native title determinations, claims and land use agreements alongside mines, reported emissions, data centres, tree clearing, natural disasters and recorded violence. Every layer is pulled live from the agency that publishes it.

Reading the map. Native title boundaries are simplified and indicative; the Tribunal cannot map every outcome area, so check the register for legal extents. Emissions are facility self-reports to the National Pollutant Inventory for the latest year and are matched to mines by distance in the au_mine_impacts view. Few data centres report to the NPI, so their environmental footprint (mainly electricity and water) is largely missing from open data. Tree cover loss includes clearing, fire and other causes.
